|
|
Just as Saint Christopher refused to fast or pray (Catholic Encyclopedia) and then carried the heavy Christ child across the river and found the prayer of formless openness to the Creator, as symbolized by his staff growing into a fruit bearing palm-tree. So, it is that when the heart and mind merge, when form meets formlessness, Christ reveals Himself in full cosmic splendor. The focus of this running group is to develop a way of formless praying through the Runners Sport. This format would include three
sections: 10-12 minute mile & under; 16-18 minute mile & over; walkers. The goal is for each runner (prophet) to become aware that every breath you take and every thought you think is prayer.
